A day in the future (Honeymoon song)

Image
(Bride) Look at the waves  Approaching land  Look into my eyes  Do you see yourself? Hold my hand Let's run together Meeting the waves For the memories  What once was wishes Has come to pass Baby,  Tell me it shall be forever Swimming into the seas of endless love adventuring each other's insides (Bridegroom) Look at the birds Cheering us Look into my eyes Do you see a doubt? In my arms You're safe forever  Our story is planted In the fertile soils So, here's to living  Every single dream Baby,  Tell me it shall be forever Swimming into the seas of endless love adventuring each other's insides (Bride and Groom) Look at the story We're living now He's levelled the mountains And filled the valleys It's a fulfillment  of His promises See all the beauty  At His perfect time Lord, We thank you,  it shall be forever Sheltered around the arms of perfect peace Living the future you prepared for us Song writer: Miriam Wambua

The spark in her heart

Image
For years human beings have proven to be a subject to fear big time. Fear of what people would think of them. Fear of what would become of them if they failed. Fear of disappointment. Fear of friends leaving them. Hey!look...In the midst of such and such fears,  there's a people that have been able to overcome this fear. I didn't say that the fear wasn't there. No. It was. But they overcame it. They knew that in the presence of fear is no confidence but doubt. She was the spark in her heart. Her enigmatic composure was so bewildering. The look on her face scared many. Looking around,  you could see the dry scattered tree leaves and branches. You could see the dry soil,  on the ground she stood. Yet still,  you could see the trees standing strongly,  breathing some hope in her heart. Can you see that? She wore the smile,  because that wasn't her destination after all. The spark in her heart,  kept her moving. Many a times in life,  we're...

What are you doing?

Image
Hiding your face from me? Look, I've been watching We used to be good friends Walking, talking, sharing Life seemed all good until the mountain Became too high for you "Talk to this mountain" I said But you walked away instead You say I am far from you That you can't hear from me anymore But do you even want to? I don't have your attention! You're hiding in the dark While I'm still waiting for your comeback Have you forgotten my covenant with you? That I will never leave you nor forsake you? Come, let's settle the matter Even if your sins are scarlet I will make them snow 'Cause my love is unconditional ©Miriedanie

Courageous girl

Image
I will walk through that same street Where darkness, pain and tears reside Not as the girl who hid behind her fears but as the girl He whispered into her ears That very day she just thought, "Maybe I didn't deserve the trophy" "You do darling daughter", He said Just not the kind you so madly want Why would you choose the silver-crown When you can have the golden crown Your feet are worn, but you have won Reach out, for what is yours I'll walk through that same street With the armory He gave me Fear not, for I am with you I'll strengthen you,  The thorns may Pierce you, But you will not be destroyed Darkness will find you But you will not get lost The pain maybe excruciating But you will not break a bone I'll walk through that same street Not as the girl who hid behind her fears but as the girl He brought out of slavery When she wondered how She could get away with the chains Then he said, "Why would you get away With the chains, When you can wal...

Taking your ground at the face of storm

Image
We have all come from a point of giving up to standing on our feet again. At such a point, all you want is hope, hope that things will be better or will get better with time. Hope that the low you got was the lowest you could ever get and that where you are is forward ever backward never. But hey! What if that was just but the beginning? What if whilst healing from the later blow comes the raging storm? The waters rising to your neck, the ground you're standing too hot, the wall before you too high to climb, and you are too frail to take action? look, it's okay to feel weak. it's okay to get tired. It's even okay to get angry but you know what, it's not okay to give up. You can call me a survivor of the storm though trust me, that's not the most appropriate word you could use, for me and for you who has been through another hell when you thought it was over. Having dumped 2020 came 2021 and who is not hoping for the better? Who's not strategizing on making a...

Let go and Let God

Image
There will always be fear strong enough to stop you from attempting anything,  but YOU MUST BE WILLING TO LET GO AND LET GOD. Hear all people and all nations. It's not strange that fear has crippled so many people,  and a number of them have travelled to a world of no return,  just because of fear. I need you to know that you can overcome fear, but you must first have a way of doing it and the way is no other than being so acquinted with the identity of you and what you're capable of doing. Arise,  oh you who hasn't known that the omnipotent God has given you power. Power to help not only you but everyone around you to stand. As He fights your battles you must embrace your identity. You must affirm beyond every iota of doubt that you're unstoppable, victorious,  prevailing over all cirmustances. Break out of that cage of fear, let an army rise from those dry bones. Let's all know we can do it. We can do it. We can do it. Never on our own, but with God, I wil...

We must kill this monster

Image
Hey you, take your position I beg your attention Let’s break this tension It isn’t beyond comprehension It sprung from frail roots But now we see the shoots And better still the fruits What we watered booms! Kill racism, we say Yet, the more we sway We wanna kill mother enemy While we feed the enemy I’m this clan, you’re this clan I’m this tribe, you’re this tribe You’re this colour, you’re this color You’re from east, I’m from west Hey you, who said? Generalization, generalization Who made you our concentration? You have brought alienation Given birth to overprotection Bred corruption and division Then multiplied enemity For every clan, for every tribe For every race, for every country For every being, with(out) armory There’s a monster, seeking a super star But who, is the mother monster? Our judgemental attitude! Has risen to high altitude Brought division to a multitude We must kill this monster I’m no...
